Hannah Wine is a native of Orlean, Virginia. In 2006 she graduated from Wakefield School in The Plains. Her photography work began early on in the basement of Marshall Manor Nursing Home, home to the Wakefield darkroom, developing black- and-white prints, the old-fashioned way.
After graduation Hannah exhibited cattle across the United States before beginning her study of Agriculture Communications at Kansas State University and graduating from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Agriculture Extension and minors in Animal Science and International Agriculture. Hannah's most prized diploma is from less traditional classroom, the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), where she graduated from a women's leadership and sea kayaking course in Mexico.
In 2016 Hannah began working as the Executive Director of the United Braford Breeders Association, spending much of her time traveling the Gulf Coast states of the Southeast U.S.. Previously, she spent six years in Bozeman, Montana, working for the American Simmental Association as the Director of Youth, Media, and National Show Programs. Throughout her cattle career she has photographed cattle and cattle shows across the country.
Hannah has since returned home to the Virginia Piedmont where she continues to raise Hereford cattle. When she's not busy with cattle, you can find her hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains or kayaking on any water she can find. No matter what she's up to or where she is, she always has her camera in tow!
